Vasculitis Flashcards
medium sized artery vasculitis not assc with granulomas or glomerulonephristis
Polyarteritis Nodosa
Polyarteritis Nodosa necrotizing or non-necrotixing
necrotizing
VASO-OCCULSIVE Dz = Thrombosis
Predominantly affects the vascular supply to the lower limbs and HANDS!!!
Burgers
Associated with HepC viral infection
- Cryoglobulinemia Vasculitis
2. Cutaneous Polyarteritis Nodosum (limited to skin)
assc with Hep B
Polyarteritis Nodosa
assc with elevated IgA
Henoch-Schonlein Purpura
assc with eosinophillia
ergic Granulomatosis With Polyangiitis [AGPA] (Churg Strauss Syndrome)
Antibodies directed against collagen, elastin, lamin, endothelial cells
ANCAs directed against MPO, lactoferrin and elastin
Bergurs
Immune complex (IC)-mediated small vessel vasculitis of the skin
In capillaries, post cap venules, and arterioles
Hypersensitivity Vasculitis
Classic tetrad of purpura, arthritis, abdominal pain, GN
Henoch-Schonlein Purpura
AM stiffness, shoulder + pelvic girdle pain
Polymyalgua rheumatic (in association with GCA)
adolescent girls and young women of Asian descent < 40 yo
Takayasu’s Arteritis
glomerulonephritis and lung involvement with pulmonary hemorrhage
Microscopic Polyangiitis
Classic Triad of ENT, respiratory tract and kidney involvement
Granulumatosis With Polyangiitis (Wegener’s Granulomatosis)
livedo reticularis
Polyarteritis Nodosa
Necrotizing vasculitis of small vessels, primarily postcapillary venules
NOT associated with granulomas
Henoch-Schonlein Purpura
pANCA
Microscopic Polyangiitis
Associated with glomerulonephritis and granuloma formation with a palaside of histiocytes (~rheumatoid nodules)
Granulumatosis With Polyangiitis (Wegener’s Granulomatosis)
