What is vascular surgery used for?
A
Vascular treats a wide range of heart and blood flow issues including vascular disease. Vascular disease includes a long-list of conditions, some of which can become life threatening:
- Acute venous thrombosis
- Deep vein thrombosis
- Aortic aneurysm (abdominal, thoracic)
- Carotid artery disease
- Peripheral arterial disease (a buildup of fatty deposits in the arteries)
- Venous insufficiency
- Lymphedema

What is a non-surgical way to help with peripheral artery disease?
A
A regular walking routine coupled with aspirin, statins and other medications can be an effective remedy for early PAD, which affects the arteries in the legs and feet.
