Initially: white.
6-12 hours: mottled.
Irreversible: blue.
How are ischaemic leg’s classified?
I: tissue viable,
Ia: mod threatened,
IIb: immediately threatened, rest pain, muscle weakness
III: irreversible injury, anaesthesic, paralysis, inaudible doppler
What are the treatment options for a critically ischaemic leg? (4).
Thrombolysis.
Thrombectomy.
Angioplasty.
Bypass.
What is used in urgent thrombolysis?
tPA: tissue plasminogen activator.
What is an aneurysm?
Expansion of an artery over 50%.
Who gets aneurysm screens?
Men > 60.
