- Subcortical VD – caused by small vessel disease
- Mixed dementia – the presence of both VD and Alzheimer’s disease

A
sudden/stepwise deterioration of cognitive function
- visual disturbance, sensory or motor symptoms
- difficulty with attention and concentration
- Seizures
- Memory disturbance
- Gait disturbance
- Speech disturbance
