Outline an antenatal management plan for a woman diagnosed with vasa previa at her 20 week anatomy scan

A
  • Advise to avoid sexual intercourse, strenuous activity and digital cervical exams.
  • Repeat TVUSS with colour doppler at 30-32 weeks.
  • Elective admission from 30 weeks until delivery.
    • Alternative: outpatient if long closed cervix on serial TVUSS and fFN negative.
  • Corticosteroids at 32 weeks.
  • Elective CS between 34-36 weeks.
