What the hell are you doing here? (start to exit)
MAN: Please wait!
Didn’t you do enough last night? What, you want to tell me some more about how selfish I am!? How I only care about myself!? How I don’t know what love is?
MAN: No, I wanted to tell you that I’m sorry.
(bitter sarcasm) Oh, you’re sorry? Well, that’s okay then. As long as you’re sorry. That’s right, I forgot. It doesn’t matter what Nick does or doesn’t do or what he says. Cause then he’s always sorry. So that makes it OK. Cause it’s not like he means to hurt you or make you feel like crap. He’s just sorry. (start to exit)
MAN: Wait…
You know what the worst part about last night was? After you left, I was sitting there crying, trying to figure out what I had done wrong! …What the hell was I doing crying over you? I’m leaving for college the next day and you dump all over me? The whole year I wasted on you! All of that crap about prom! Scott Ziegler would’ve taken me in a second. And off of that BS about beach week and how you have to “be with your friends.” What a freaking waste. (start to exit)
MAN: I love you!
Well I hate you. And I hope that one day; someone makes you feel as bad as you made me feel. Because that’s what you deserve.
