What is an independent variable?
what I’m purposely changing.
Or the variable that the scientist changes to observe its effect on another variable.
What is a dependent variable?
The ‘thing’ that changes as a result of the independent variable. Or a variable that is expected to change when the independent variable is changed then it is observed and measured.
What is a controlled variable?
The conditions that must be kept the same throughout an experiment.
What is a hypothesis?
A suggested explanation for past observations that is tested in an experiment.
What is a method?
The way in which a scientist goes about conducting an investigation
Which axis is the independent variable on?
The x axis
Which axis the dependent variable on?
The Y axis
What is a variable?
Quantity Or condition in an experiment that can change.
