A
The predictor, the variable you manipulate to test the effect on the dependent variable. Eg an intervention

Dependent
A
The outcome variable, the one you want to measure or improve by manipulating it with the independent variable. Eg memory

Manifest
A
Variables that are directly observable/measurable. Eg age, length etc

Latent
A
Variables you can’t directly observe/measure, so you measure other variables to get an indication of the latent variable. eg intelligence

Nominal
A
Catigorical variable. Either/or. once there is a order and ratio you speak of continuous. Eg with or without ADHD

A
When there is an order/scale. Able to take on different values that have the same ratio between them.
