United anti discriminatory legislation with 9 protected characteristics no one can be discriminated on:
- age
- disability (inclu neurodiversity)
- gender reassignment
- marriage/civil partnership
- pregnancy/ diversity
- race
- religion/belief
- sex
- sexual orientation
Bullying
When a person/groups behaviour causes another individual distress

Harrassment
Section 26 Equality act:
Unwanted conduct related to a relevent protected characteristic with purpose or effect of violating a persons dignity or creating an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive enviroment.
Victimisation
Section 27 Equality act:
Occurs when an individual is treated unfairly after making/supporting a complaint related to a protected characteristics or someone believes that a person has done so.
Unlawful discrimination
Where a person is treated detrimentally due to a protected characteristic
Unfair discrimination
Where they are treated less favourably for any other reason
Direct discrimination
Treating someone less favourably due to their identity
Indirect discrimination
Practices, polices or rules which apply to everyone but disadvantage a particular group
