A

Must not be less than those of the state overflown

Calculation should consider:

  • accuracy of the position of the a/c
  • accuracies of the altimeters
  • characteristics of the terrain
  • probability to meet bad MTO
  • airspace restrictions

A
  • aérodrome where an a/c can land shortly after t/o.
  • 2 engines a/c : flight time 1h
  • 3 or + engines a/c : flight time 2h
  • ETOPS a/c : flight time 2h at 1 engine inop
  • MTO at or above minimas ok +/- 1h
