Q

Vascular ring vs laryngomalacia

A

Laryngomalacia is from collapsing supraglottic structures during inspiration leading to inspiratory stridor that improves when prone.
Vascular ring is aortic arch forming around esophagus and trachea leading to constriction and inspiratory + expiratory stridor. Extending the neck pulls airway enough to decompress them and improve symptoms.
