What are some common drugs to avoid in older adults due to increased side effects?
Anticholinergics- (Diphenhyrdamine–> lead to confusion, hallucinations etc)
CNS- TCADs, Antipsychotics, Benzos
Cardiovascular- Most antiarrhythmic
Endocrine- Sliding scale insulin
Pain- Non-Selective NSAIDs, muscle relaxants.

What does Creatinine kinase measure?
Cellular Damage of Heart, brain, or skeletal muscle.
How can you tell the difference between a inferior gluteal and superior gluteal nerve damage?
Inferior=Gluteus Maximus= trouble rising from seated position or climbing stairs (extension and external rotation of the thigh)
Superior=Glut medius, minumus, tensor fasciae latae=Pelvic tilt contralaterally, lean towards lesion while walking.

How can you prevent the niacin “flush?” Why does this work?
Administer aspirin because this blocks prostaglandin synthesis
