Fuchs heterochromic iridocyclitis

Min AC Rxn
Iris of affected side paler (stromal atrophy)
Fine angle vessels (can bleed w gonio, AC para or Surg)

Tx: none needed
(poor response to steroids)
-manage cats and glaucoma if necessary

-can also do skin test for hypersensitivity

  • oral, genital ulcers, vasculitis
  • explosive inflammation
  • posterior > ant uveitis
  • tx: systemic steroids
  • chlorambucil (cytotoxic)
  • colchicine prevents recurrence
  • or cyclosporine or plasma pheresis
