The belief that reality is subjectively constructed by human thought
Antirealism
The branch of theology concerned with defending Christianity as a reasonable and practical faith
Apologetics
A denial of the existence of a supernatural God
Atheism
An economic system based on the peaceful and free exchange of goods and services, where all or most of the means of production and distribution are privately owned and operated for profit
Capitalism
A follower of Jesus Christ who has personally accepted Christ’s death and resurrection as the only means for salvation
Christian
The Marxist goal of a future utopia in which all resources for production are owned in common by a classless society
Communism
A scientific theory that God was directly involved in creating the universe and all the various kinds of plants and animals, including mankind as created in God’s image
Creationism
The theory proposed by Charles Darwin that species gradually evolve into new species over time due to natural selection
Darwinism
The belief, based solely on reason, that God created the universe but now stands completely detached from it, giving no supernatural revelation
Deism
Any law that comes directly from the character of God via special revelation
Divine Law
The theory that reality is composed of two basic and distinct elements—mind and matter. Related to psychology, the belief that mind (soul/spirit) and matter (body) exist as separate entities, i.e., the mind is not mere matter
Dualism
The study of the origin, nature, method, and limits of knowledge
Epistemology
The belief that no absolute moral code exists and therefore man determines what is right in each situation according to his private judgment
Ethical Relativism
A set of principles for determining what is good and evil or right and wrong behavior
Ethics
The belief that women are the victims of male domination, and the demand for equal status of women economically, politically, and socially
Feminism
God’s revelation of Himself and His will through nature, history, and the human conscience to all persons at all times and in all places
General Revelation
Do unto others as you would have them do to you
Golden Rule
The belief that pleasure is the highest good for individuals and society
Hedonism
