Define utilitarian crime.
A
This is also known as ‘useful’ crime. It means there is a purpose behind why the crime is committed. Tends to be low risk, but high reward. They tend to be from the middle class, and suffer from relative deprivation.

What is relative deprivation?
A
This is when an individual/group compare what they have to their peers. They feel ‘poor’ in comparison, when they just want more than what they have.
