AAA
1 time u/s in men ages 65-75 who have ever smoked
Alcohol abuse
> 18, brief behavioral counseling for people with risky behaviors
Aspirin
50-59 with 10% or greater CV risk, not at increased bleeding risk, life expectancy of at least 10 years, willing to take aspirin daily for at least 10 years
Bacteriuria in pregnant women
Urine culture at 12-16 weeks
Blood pressure
> 18, get outside measurements before initiating treatment
BRCA
Screen people with family history–>genetic counseling if positive
Breast cancer prevention
Offer tamoxifen/raloxifene to women at increased cancer risk and low adverse effects risk
Breast cancer screening
Mammogram with/without clinical breast exam every 1-2 years for women >40
Chlamydia
Sexually active women <24 and older women at risk
Cervical cancer
21-65: Pap smear every 3 years
30-65: cytology+HPV testing every 5 years
Cholesterol
Men >35
Men 20-25 at increased coronary heart disease risk
Women 20-45 at increased coronary heart disease risk
Colorectal cancer

Cavity prevention
Fluoride varnish on all children
Fluoride supplementation at 6 months for deficient water
Diabetes
Adults 40-70 who are overweight or obese
Fall prevention
> 65: exercise, PT, Vitamin D
Folic acid
0.4-0.8mg for all women who could become pregnant

Repeat testing at 24-28 weeks for all Rh- women, unless father is Rh-

Screen for latent TB in at-risk populations
