Must have at-home BP measurements for dx before starting tx.
Tobacco Use Counseling & Interventions for Adults
- ask all adults
- Advise cessation
- Provide Behavioral Interventions & FDA approved tx
Tobacco Use Counseling & Interventions in Pregnant Women
- ask all pregnant women
- Advise cessation
- Provide Behavioral Interventions
Chlamydia & Gonorrhea Screening in Women
screen in:
- sexually active women ages 24 & younger &
- older women with increased risk
STI Counseling
provide intensive behavioral counseling in:
- all sexually active adolescents &
- higher-risk adults
Preeclampsia Prevention with Aspirin
use 81-mg aspirin in high-risk pregnant women after 12 weeks gestation
Prevention of CVD in adults using counseling of lifestyle changes
In Obese/Overweight adults with additional CV risk factors:
Offer/Refer Intensive Behavioral Counseling Interventions to promote a healthy lifestyle changes & CVD Prevention
AAA Screening
one time U/S screening in men ages 65-75 who have ever smoked
Cavity Prevention in kids up to 5 years old
- Apply Fluoride Varnish at primary tooth eruption
- In areas with fluoride deficient water, prescribe oral fluoride supplementation when 6 months old
Hep B Screening
Screen high-risk adults & non-pregnant adolescents
Gestational DM Screening
Screen in asymptomatic pregnant women after 24 wks gestation
Lung Cancer Screening
Annual CT in adults ages 55-80 who have:
- a 30 pack-year history &
- currently smoke OR quit w/in the past 15 years
BRCA risk & genetic counseling/testing
Screen women with:
-FH of breast, ovarian, tubal, OR peritoneal cancer
(+) Screen indicates genetic counseling
Breast Cancer Prevention
Prescribe Risk-Reducing Medication (Tamoxifen, Raloxifene) in women with:
- increased risk for breast cancer
- low risk for adverse medication effects
Tobacco Use Interventions in children & Adolescents
Prevent initiation of tobacco use via education & brief counseling interventions
Hep C Screening
Screen in pts w/:
- high-risk
- & a one-time screening for adults born b/t 1945-1965
