useful content tips for interview Flashcards
1
Q
things to consider when sketching graphs
A
- points of axis intersection
- gradient where appropriate
- if it’s a function which is the sum of two functions, you can sketch the graphs separately and multiply the points to get the resultant points
2
Q
what do if given a complex kinematics question
A
- equate some property of the question
e. g. if two objects travel at different speeds over different distances but in the same time then equate the equations for time.
3
Q
which acids are strong, which acids are weak
A
Strong = HCl, HNO3, H2SO4 Weak = CH3COOH, H3PO4
4
Q
what are some issues with the periodic table
A
- there are lots of exceptions with the periodicity rules
- Hydrogen and Helium don’t fit nicely
- It’s difficult to work out the properties of the super-heavy elements and therefore there is debate as to whether they should be included
