what is the technique for using a pMDIs
remove inhaler cap and shake inhaler
gently breath out
place teeth around it
breath slowly and deeply as you press down the canister
hold breath for 10secs/ long as possible
breath out
replace cap
what is the posture for using a pMDI
sight up straight and lift chin to open airways
what is the technique for a large volume spacer device
same as for a pMDI but click spacer on and spray into spacer
what is the procedure for turbohaler (Dry powder inhaler)
set it up - remove lid
and screw/rotate till you hear a click (the powder)
breath out gently
put mouth over mouth piece
breath in sharply
hold breath 10seconds
breath out gently
