Strategic
Aware of surroundings ; baseline safety precautions
Threat perception level two
tactical
Heightened sense of facts; Some enforcement interaction is occurring or is about to start.
Threat perception level three
Volatile
The seriousness of the situation is increasing and so is the potential for the situation to develop into possible harm to the officer or others; reasonable control needs to be gained
That perception level four
Harmful
Physical harm to the officer or other others can,will, or is occur /occurring
Threat perception level five
Lethal
Death or serious bodily injury to the officers or another will or is occur/occurring
Perceived subject threat level one
Compliant
Fully cooperative
Perceived subject threat level two
Passive resistant
No strength or muscle resist
Perceived subject threat level three
Active resistance
Uses strength or muscle to resist control
Perceived subject threat level four
Assaultive bodily harm
Attempting to harm the officer or another

Assaultive serious bodily/ deadly force
Attempting to kill or do serious bodily harm to the officer or another
