the zoot suit riots were riots against the zoot suiters who were latino people who wore big suits in the streets. some people didn’t like that and thought that the extra fabric should be used for soldiers and not people in the streets.

emmett till got lynched because he “offended a white woman”. her husband and his brother went and attacked him and after he was attacked, he was unrecognizable
