What is Urethral Syndrome?
Mysterious conditions with symptoms suggestive of a UTI but without any infection
What are some symptoms of Urethral Syndrome?
Dysuria - pain or burning sensation during urination
Bladder pain - discomfort in the bladder region
Increased urgency - a frequent and urgent need to urinate
Increased frequency - frequent urination, often with little urine output
What are some reasons a patient may have Urethral Syndrome?
Inflammatory response - inflammatory process in the urethra
Psychosomatic factors - stress of psychological factors
Irritants - exposure - soaps, chemicals, sexual activity
What is the diagnosis for this?
Typically made by ruling out UTI and other urological conditions through urine analysis
