action - anti-allergic, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial (good for asthma)
dried herb - 3-6gm/day tincture 1:2 (25%) 25-60mL/week
qualities - cooling, moistening, and slightly relaxing.

action - mucolytic, circulatory
stimulant, rubefacient
tincture 1:2 (25%) 25-50mL/ week
sinusitis, upper respiratory congestion, sinus
headaches, nasopharangeal catarrh (thick, hard to move)
* acute circulatory stagnation (local or general)

anticatarrhal, astringent
(tannins), mucous membrane tonic
Tincture 1:2 (45%) 15-30mL/ week Take up to four times per day
EYE BATH Infusion of dried herb 2-4g Standard infusion prepared fresh &
strained before application
controls oversecretion of upper respiratory mucosal
membranes / eye infection
Cooling, drying & slightly constricting

diaphoretic diffusive –
open pores to induce sweating,
anti-catarrhal

* hayfever, sinusitis, chronic nasopharyngeal catarrh;
* bronchitis, pleurisy; sore throat
hot, inflamed or cracked skin conditions

anticatarrhal, antiinflammatory (flavonoids),
diuretic/aquaretic (promotes diuresis
without loss of electrolytes)
