Upper Extremity ME Flashcards

1
Q

How do you diagnosis radial head dysfunction

A

Patient shoulders relaxed and forearms at 90 degree flexion

  • simultaneously pronate and supinate the forearms assessing range of motions
  • palpate the radial head

Distal radius moves anteriorly/medially During supination

Q

What muscle pulls the SC joint inferiorly and is the muscle being worked on with SC joint ME?

A

Pectoralis major

Position

  • abduction (no more than 45-60 degrees
  • extend
  • externally rotate the arm

Do this to the feathered barrier and instruct the patient to match force
when positing further, DONT abduct past 60 degrees

Q

How do you position the hands when fixing flexion wrist somatic dysfunction?

A
