(1) Medially rotates arm
Supraspinatus
(2) Abducts arm, stabilizes shoulder joint
Infraspinatus

(3) Deltoid muscle is common site for for IM injections

(12) Extends and adducts arm, extends forearm
Biceps Brachii
(9) Flexes arm & forearm; supinates hand
Brachialis
(11) Flexes forearm
Brachioradialis
(13) Flexes forearm
Extensor Carpi Radialis Longus
(14) Extends & abducts hand; damage to extersor muscles of the forearm = “tennis elbow”
Extensor Carpi Radialis Brevis
(15) Extends & abducts hand; damage to extersor muscles of the forearm = “tennis elbow”
Flexor Carpi Ulnaris
(19) Extends & adducts hand
Extensor Digitorum
(24) Extends fingers & hand
