How would you explain an U/L peripheral vascular exam?

• I’ve been asked to do an examination of the blood vessels that supply your arms and legs. It will involves me having a look at your arms, tummy, and legs and having a feel of your pulses.
  you will have to be bare above the waist and ideally in some shorts too.
  The examiner will act as a chaperone today
  IS THIS OK?
• are you in any pain?
