Q

dartmoor (upland)

A

overtime granite became exposed on the surface as a result of glacial erosion/ mass movement, joints in the granite expose rock to freeze-thaw weathering (broke down rock), continued until tors (hill/rocky peak) we see today

Q

malham (upland)

A

limestone is permeable sedimentary rock +contain joints, rainwater passes through joints and cause chemical weathering, widening and deeoening of cracks form limestone pavements, joints are widend to creatw dips (grykes), dips expose blocks of rockes (clints)
