Mr Barnes purchased caustic soda from Woolworths. The mixture shot out and resulted in injuries to Mr Barnes.
Court - Glendale was liable under s138 bodily injury or death. Failure to warn customers about danger [s9], Glendale was deemed manufacturer [s7]. Defence - not a defect at supply time, compliance with mandatory standard, componnet in finished goods
