17
Q

Explain what you consider to be the greatest challenge for a country or an entire region. Propose a solution for the challenge that would help the country or region to have a better future.

A

I consider the greatest challenge for Brazil to be deforestation. Deforestation can cause pollution because trees filter the carbon dioxide, which is harmful, out of the air. Trees also produce oxygen, so less trees means less clean air.

18
Q

Propose a solution for the challenge that would help the country or region to have a better future.

A

Some solutions to deforestation could be using electronic devices to read and write, wasting less unneeded paper, using the spaces we already have to farm, and planting new trees when we cut down the old ones.

A

Costa Rica is a peaceful country. Many different customs brought by immigrants are practiced there. Costa Ricans are laid-back, friendly, and happy people. There are public services, like education and healthcare, that are available for everyone. Even though Spanish is the official language of Costa Rica, a variety of other languages are spoken. Their national dish is “gallo pinto”, which is rice and beans. Soccer is a popular sport.
