There’s a filament. When you turn it on energy flows through the filament, it heats to extremely high temperatures. The light you see comes from the glowing filament
Fluorescent Light
Glass tube filled with a small amount of gas such as mercury vapour. Inside of bulb coated with phosphor
Phosphorescent
Ex. Glow stick
Like a fluorescent, but stays flowing for a long time

Magenta Cyan Yellow
Human eyes & Cameras
the pupil is a hole acting like the aperture.
The iris controls the amount of light able to enter the eye
Retina, Cones and Rods
retina is filled with cells sensitive to light
Rods are very sensitive
Cones detect colour
Fish eyes
Fish have camera eyes
bird eyes
birds have sharp vision
Compound eyes
Different units acting as lenses
Easy to detect motion, gets confusing because it sees like a kaleidoscope
