Ambulance
A vehicle specially equipped for taking sick or injured people to and from the hospital, especially in emergencies.
Burn
A fire produce flames and heat while consuming a material such as coal or wood.
Diabetes
A disease in which the body’s ability to produce or respond to the hormone insulin is impaired, resulting in abnormal metabolism of carbohydrates and elevated levels of glucose in the blood and urine.
Immobilisation
The act of limiting movement or making incapable of movement.
Recovery Positions
Ensures the patient airway is clear and open. Also ensures any vomit or fluid will not make them choke. Can be used after seizures.
Anaphylaxis
potentially life-threatening allergic reaction. It can occur within seconds or minutes of exposure to something you’re allergic to, such as peanuts or bee stings.
Conscious
Your conscious is your awareness of yourself and the world around you In the most general terms, it means being awake and aware.
Epilepsy
A neurological disorder marked by sudden recurrent episodes of sensory disturbance, loss of consciousness, or convulsions, associated with abnormal electrical activity in the brain.
Rash
Displaying or proceeding from a lack of careful consideration of the possible consequences of an action.
Swelling
An abnormal enlargement of a part of the body, typically as a result of an accumulation of fluid.
Angina
A condition marked by severe pain in the chest, often also spreading to the shoulders, arms, and neck, caused by an inadequate blood supply to the heart.
CPR
A lifesaving technique useful in many emergencies, including a heart attack or near drowning, in which someone’s breathing or heartbeat has stopped.
Faint
A sight, smell, or sound barely perceptible.
Seizure
the action of capturing someone or something using force.
Symtoms
a set of things working together as parts of a mechanism or an interconnecting network.
