A

Right to life is covered by teachings of sanctity of life
All humans made in god’s image so are equal
Christians are protected by these laws so should help protect others

A

Some are against civil partnerships which are legal in the UK
Some are against homosexuals having a family(adoption)
Some are against marrying outside their religion
RC are against women priests which is discrimination

Why is it important to vote?

A

People fought for the right to vote this should be respected
Change can only be brought about by the democratic process
People get to have their say e.g. On education
Whoever gets elected into power is responsible for the whole country e.g. TAXES and so it will effect everyone

Christian teachings on moral duties

A

1) the Golden Rule- when voting Christians should look into policies and see how they would affect others e.g. They won’t vote for a party that wanted to send asylum seekers home
2) parable of the sheep and lamb- you will be judged on how you have treated others. Christians won’t vote for a party that plans to cut benefits for the disabled
3) am I my brother’s keep- refers to when Cain killed Able. Christians have a duty to look after everyone who’s in need

⚫️ for Jesus’ example he was a healer e.g. Paralysed man
⚫️ Creating cells isn’t the same as creating humans
⚫️ God gave humans the domain, they should use this to do things that don’t cause harm e.g. GM crops
⚫️ God gave humans intelligence they should use this and technology to help others
