information put out by an organization or government to promote a policy, idea or cause; distorted information that is systematically spread to promote a policy, idea or cause

(Propaganda technique) Inevitable Victory appeals the attempt to persuade the audience to take the path everyone else is taking.
Beautiful People
The type of propaganda that deals with famous people or depicts attractive, happy people. This makes others feel they will be happy if they buy the product
Flag Waving
An attempt to justify an action on the grounds that doing so will make one more patriotic.
Glittering Generalities
Glittering Generalities that are emotionally appealing words applied to a product or idea, but which present have no concrete argument.
Name Calling
This technique is used to incite fear on the listener. For example, the makers of shampoo A might say shampoo B will make your hair fall out.
Testimonial
Quotations or speeches were given by people who have experience with the topic being discussed.
