a movement created by smaller countries to form an alliance and not be associated with major powers

the president of Ghana who freed them from the British control

types of wars that are started to to global powers yet they are not involved in them, such as the Korean and Angolan civil wars
Proxy Wars (Korean War and Angolan Civil War)
a series of revolts in China that began in 1921 end continued through the 1920’s to turn china into a communist country

the second stage in the USSR’s 5 year plan

after japan had fought off France, Ho Chi Minh declared the area as a Vietnam
Communist Revolution for Vietnamese Independence
the act of a nation establishing freedom from their parents country/colonizer
Decolonization
a political party formed to fight for freedom from the british empire that was controlling them.
Indian National Congress
a politcal party that advocated for muslim rights and led to the creation of the partition of India, granting them the land of pakistan
Muslim League
divided india into 3 sectors: bangladesh, india, and pakistan, mainly due to religion
Partition of India
formed in 1948 seperated the land that was shared between israel and palestine and granted a large part of it to israel
Creation of Israel
the parent country to smaller colonies that they conquered
Metropole
Leader of civil disobedience movemtns in India to protest british control. Known for the Salt March.
Mohandas Gandhi
Civil rights activist in the US who gave his famous “I have a Dream Speech” leading to the civil rights act that gave all men and women equal rights.
