What is Work-Life Balance?
Work-life balance is need to strike [a healthy balance] between our desires to participate fully in the labour market while giving the best of ourselves to our loved ones, in general, between our [job and personal responsibilities.]
The concept of the quality of work-life can be viewed as “the degree to which members of a work organization are able to satisfy important personal needs through their experiences in the organization”.
Hence, a fundamental problem facing growing numbers of individuals is how to balance their growing work and non-work demands.
The importance of work-life balance
The [new age work force is focused] and they [tend to switch jobs] if they find that the workplace is unable to allow them to strike a balance between their job and their responsibility.
Employers need to recognize that in the phase of changing demographics, for example dual income families and ageing population, it is important to accommodate such changes to [retain their workforce.]

Why is work-life balance important for employers?
1. Work Life programmes are adopted by Organizations to help employees to manage a balance between work and personal life.
2. Especially important because of FAST-PACED GLOBAL ECONOMY.
