Moon
A satellite of a planet
Weather
The condition of the outside air or atmosphere at a particular time and place.
Revolution
The path the Earth travels in to get around the Sun. Seasons 365 days
Sun
The star in our solar system that Earth and other planets revolve around.
Condensation
Cooling of water vapor which changes it back into a liquid ( clouds )
Groundwater
Water that collects above the rock layer and moves like an underground river.
Climate
The average of all weather conditions through all seasons over a period of time.
Photosphere
The surface of the sun
Solar Eclipse
This occurs when Earth passes through a new moon’s shadow.
Axis
An imaginary line that passes through the Earth’s north and south poles. Allows Earth’s Rotation.
Atmosphere
A mixture of gases that surrounds a planet
Carbon Dioxide/Oxygen Cycle
Carbon and oxygen move among plants, animals, and the environment.
Sunspot
A dark spot on the surface of the Sun. It is cooler than the rest of the photosphere.
Rotates
When Earth spins on its axis. Day and Night Cycle
Precipitation
Rain, hail, sleet or snow
Tide
The constant change in sea level that is caused by the pull of the Sun and the Mood on the Earth
Corona
The atmosphere of the Sun. Only visible during an eclipse.
Evaporation
The process of heat turning liquid water into water vapor and rising into the air.

Explosions on the surface of the Sun
