What are the offences created by the computer misuse act (1990)?
- Unauthorised access to computer material
- Unauthorised access with intent to commit or facilitate a crime
- Unauthorised modification of software or data
- Making, supplying or obtaining anything which can be used in computer misuse offences

However, no guarantee that it would be fully functioning and effective, and support may not always be available if its not used by many people

software that is developed by companies or individuals which is copyrighted so can only be used by obtaining permission (buying a license
Pros of proprietary
Help is provided by the actual individual or company who created it, and often free of bugs/glitches and when these do occur they are fixed for free.
