Admissions
Is a department that decides if a students meets the requirements to get into a college.
Financial Aid
Is money to help pay for college or career school. Grants, work-study. loans, and scholarships help make college or career school affordable.

Access Center
Where you apply for accommodations once you are accepted to Collin college.
Requirements
A requirement for admission to or completion of an academic program.
Registration
The process of signing up or enrolling in something.
Orientation
Is the period prior to the start of the academic year at a college or university where a variety of events are held to welcome and acclimate new students.
Scholarships
A financial support awarded to a student, based on academic achievement or other criteria that may include financial need for the purpose of schooling.
Tuition
Is the price that institutions charge for courses and publish in brochures and on their websites.
Deadline
Non-binding. This is the final date you must submit your college application if you want a chance of being accepted.
Proof of residency
Utility bill that indicates reasonable usage (electricity, water, gas, with name of parent or guardian printed)
Assessment
A test or an exam given by the school
Advising
is the process between the student and an academic advisor of exploring the value of a general education, reviewing the services and policies of the institution, discussing educational and career plans, and making appropriate course selections.
Catalog
is a college publication describing academic programs, student services, general regulations, requirements and procedures.
Enrollment
is the process of arranging to attend an institution and specific classes. This term may also describe the number of students that currently attend a school or a course.
