AC Joint
Is a joint at the top of the shoulder.
Glenoid Fossa
A shallow depression on a bone into which another bone fits to form a joint.
AC Separation
when the collar bone separates from the shoulder blade.
Head of the humerus
The upper or proximal extremity of the humerus consists of the bone’s large rounded head joined to the body by a constricted portion called the neck.
Acromion Process
It articulates with the collar bone to form the acromioclavicular joint.
Glenoid Labrum
Rim attached around the margin of the glenoid cavity in the shoulder blade.
Hills-Sach
Is a cortical depression in the posterolateral head of the humerus.
Brachial Plexus
Is a network of nerves formed by the ventral rami of the lower four cervical nerves and first thoracic nerve.
Rotator Cuff
Is a group of muscles and tendons that surround the shoulder joint, keeping the head of your upper arm bone firmly within the shallow socket of the shoulder.
Stinger
Also called a burner or nerve pinch injury, is a neurological injury suffered by athletes, mostly in high-contact sports.
SC Joint
Is formed from the articulation of the medial aspect of the clavicle and the manubrium of the sternum.
Biceps Tendon
Cord-like structure connects the biceps muscle to the bones in the shoulder.
DOMS
Is the pain and stiffness felt in muscles several hours to days after unaccustomed or strenuous exercise.
Dynamic Stability
When disturbed from an original state of steady motion in an upright position.
