Unit 4 SAFMEDS Flashcards
Mutual Entailment ME
Bi-directional feature of relational responding. Responding to a relation in one direction between 2 stimuli (A to B) entails or implies a responding relation in the other direction (B to A).
ME #example
Mutual Entailment #2waystreet
Copeland (A) & Cayden (B) are brothers
A & B = B & A
Combinatorial Entailment CE
Responding to two combined relations ( A & B + B & C) that can imply a response to a third relation (A & C).
#bashbros
A & B + B & C
Imply relation between A & C
CE #example
Combinatorial Entailment- Responding to two combined relations (between A and B and between C and B) that can entail a response to a third relation (between A and C). Brother example:
A and B- Copeland and Cayden
C and B - Knox and Cayden
A and C- Copeland and Knox
Transformation of Stimulus Functions ToF
In different contexts. the functions of each stimuli changes or transforms on the basis of its relation to the other stimuli.
ToF #example
Same rating scale (different contexts)
Shock- scale of 1 to 5 (1 least amount/ 5 most)
Money- scale of 1 to 5 (1 least amount / 5 most)
More desirable (money 5) - Less desirable (shock 1)
