What is the Indian Act
One of the government’s attempt at “protect the collective rights of First Nations.” It allows the government to develop specific policies and programs to administer treaty rights

Originally aimed to assimilate first nations people. It defined how they should govern, travel and wear
What are Indian Agents and what are their role
Indian agents are representatives of the Canadian Government that were in charge of reserves
