What causes periodontal disease?
Bacterial infection of the supporting structures of the teeth, caused by bacterial plaque on the gingival margin
JUVINELLE PERIODONTITIS
Perio disease that begins in childhood rather than in adults
CHRONIC GINGIVITIS
EARLY stage of perio disease, which is chronic inflammation involving gingiva alone.
What is the sequence of CHRONIC GINGIVITIS
Bacteria within plaque build sup gingival crevice
Produce toxins
inflamed gingiva becomes red in colour

Excessive fluoride is ingested during enamel formation. Teeth erupt with mottled white areas in the enamel surface.
