What is policy and procedure?
Policy-clear statement of what they intend to do
Procedure-a clear statement of how they will do it
Give an example of a policy and procedure
Policy- a weekly fire test will be done
Procedure- at 11am every Thursday the receptionist will pull the fire alarm and record the information
Define role and responsibilities
Role - position or purpose someone has in a situation or organisation
Responsibility - a specific duty or activity they must carry out to fulfil their role
What are the responsibilities of an employee, employer, and service user
Employee - reporting, adherence to training and policy and procedure
Employer - promote, maintain, enforce
Service user - understand, adhere, report
