The region between the Tigris and Euphrates;birthplace of the Sumerian and babylonian civilizations.

Light soil in rivers that is moisture retentive soil type with a high fertility.

A legacy that consist of canals,artificial lakes and gates. It allowed farmers to expanded their fields and bring water to their crops.

A independent, self governing city and the lands/villages around it.

A written set of laws that apply to everyone under government.

King of the Babylonian empire;creator of the code of Hammurabi.

the way of people manage money and resources for the production of gods and services.
