What are carrot and stick policies? Example?
Stick is cost and carrot is benefit. e.g. stick - charging to go into city, carrot - improved public transport system

A network of different forms of transport which link together to provide quick and efficient journeys using public transport.
What is congestion charge?
Introduced in London and Durham, Congestion charge for driving vehicles daily into central areas
Example of parking restrictions?
Decades of car-centric development in LA resulted in more than three and a half parking spaces for every car

Encouraging people to cycle instead of drive. Allows employers to loan bikes

Routes provided for cyclists and traffic is controlled by road narrowing. A one way system can be put in place

Systems located close to major routes in and out of city
