Q

What is inertia?

A

Measure of how difficult it is to change an objects velocity. Therefore, the larger the mass the larger the inertia.

Q

Why is stopping in short distances dangerous?

A

work is done to transfer the kinetic energy to any other energy type, but over a shorter distance the energy will be transferred very quickly meaning there will be a greater force, putting a higher risk on people
