Explain the difference between strong and weak acids.

A

Strong acids dissociate fully in water to produce the maximum number of H+ ions. Weak acids (e.g. Ethanoic Acid) do not dissociate fully. This means the pH values of strong acids are lower, they have a faster rate of reaction, and their reactions have a greater temperature rise.
