Unit 2 - Upper Limb: Identifying Nerves of Brachial Plexus (Ex. II) Flashcards
1
Q
posterior interosseous nerve
A
branch from deep radial nerve
pops out from under supinator
continues down between EPL and EPB
2
Q
median nerve
A
runs through cubital fossa
continues between FDS and FDP
eventually goes through carpal tunnel
3
Q
anterior antebrachial interosseous nerve
A
branches off median nerve
runs L to FDP as median nerve continues to carpal tunnel
4
Q
ulnar nerve
A
runs under FCU w/ ulnar artery through Guyon’s tunnel
5
Q
radial nerve
A
deep to brachioradialis
just distal to cubital fossa
gives off deep branch to supinator - emerges as P interosseous branch
superficial branch continues under brachioradialis and then dorsal digital nerves
