Bc after the Roman Empire fell e/1 was so unstable and religion gave them a sort of stability that they where missing.
What role did religion play after the fall of the Roman Empire?
Helped people become more stable, thy realized what they where missing in their life

Have them hope for next world

They where poor and illiterate
