Differences between Classic UI Multiple Roles & SAP Fiori UX (Functionality)
Classic UI ⇾Classic UI is functional based application, which one Transaction for multiple roles. This creates a complex functionality.
SAP Fiori (Role)⇾It is a role-based application where app is for each role, which gives a simple function.
Differences between Classic UI & SAP Flori UX (End point & User) (User Experience)
Classic UI→It is a functional-based application,where multiple entry points for the user->inconsistent UX
SAP Fiori->It is a role based application, where one entry point for each user-brings a consistent, harmonized look and feel across all SAP products.
What is SAP Fiori LaunchPad?
It is a single point of entry to access all applications - directly via tiles or links, or by using Search.
Purpose:
A key goal of any SAP Fiori application is to ensure that a user can complete a task with as few clicks as possible.
Functions of SAP Fiori
1) Overview pages of report and work lists
2) Notifications for alerting on urgent tasks or requests
3) Trigger quick actions or drill down to the next details
4) Users can also invoke the SAP CoPilot, an intelligent assistant supporting ad-hoc tasks in the context of their business activity.
The relationship between SAP GUI & SAP Fiori
When to use SAP GUI?
It is used to support the on-premise ERP system when it is not converted to SAP Fiori.
The SAP GUI screen are used in SAP S/4HANA for the back-end system transaction to run the application.
How many User Types of SAP Flori? 3
- Occasional User uses the system occasionally, so requires simple, clear, and fast browser based application.
- Expert user/key user is a fully-trained SAP User, who knows the detailed processes and available applications. They use multiple system and UI with locally installed GUI.
- Developer/Programmer- They are back end oriented with overall authorization who know the detailed processes, system know how, and deals with adaption and extension of the existing applications. They use multiple systems and no specific UI.
How many Deployment Types?
- On-premise- the customer buys software and hardware and operates the combination themselves. Therefore, the customer is solely responsible for implementation, the update extensions, and adaptation, as well as replacements and new investments.
- Cloud- the cloud company provides (hardware and software) , business software, and rents this combination to the customer. The cloud company is responsible for the operation, updates, extension, and new investments.
- In the Hybrid type, the customer runs certain parts of their business software on their own servers, and uses additional solutions from a cloud provider. This deployment type requires an intense integration between the On Premise parts and the Cloud types
What is SAP Fiori?
SAP Fiori is a completely new UX that help the user become more productive on all devices.
It is designed using a methodology called design thinking, which is a user-centric and solution-based approach to software and user interface design.

Transactional apps are a function of a business system for fast transaction processing, such as purchase receipt entry. It is available for SAP S/4HANA and Business Suite on any database
Analytical apps have analytical capabilities of SAP HANA to provide insights in business data, such as analysis, graphs, charts, exploration, data mining, and drill-down. They are available for SAP S/4HANA and Business Suite on HANA.
.Fact Sheet apps use the enterprise search capabilities of SAP HANA to provide search results for a 360 degree view of all the key information related to a business subject. They are available for SAP S/4HANA and Business Suite on HANA.
